Matilda Sandvik, LL.M., is specialised in international human rights law and is a strong advocate for the right of the child to be protected from sexual violence in all environments.
Sandvik works in close collaboration with survivors of sexual violence in childhood to amplify their voices and wisdom. She actively partakes in national and international advocacy work at Protect Children.
Sandvik is especially interested in the role of technology companies in the realisation of the rights of the child in digital environments and wrote her LL.M. thesis on the issue of balancing the fundamental rights to privacy and personal data protection with children’s right to protection from online sexual exploitation and abuse in EU law.
