Experiences of Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Across 29 Languages
Katariina Leivo works as a senior specialist at Protect Children.
She has significant international experience in early childhood development and the importance of attachment relationship in a child's development. Leivo worked for 17 years in London in a multicultural environment, promoting the well-being and recovery of vulnerable children and families, first in education and later in various psychology services, offering compassion and attachment-based interventions as well as low-intensity CBT treatment.
Leivo is an experienced trainer in topics related to child development, violence against children, trauma, and special educational needs. In recent years, her focus has been on promoting the well-being and healing of children and families who have fallen victims to childhood sexual violence.
